Customer Development Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Customer Development Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Directs Customer Development Specialists to meet ongoing customer requirements;
- Conduct needs assessment calls with specific prospects;
- Achieve by meeting or exceeding sales support quotas by qualifying prospects;
- Responsible for customer success in maximizing the value of Egnyte’s solutions;
- Partner and grow client relationships;
- Manages priorities and activities to achieve Business Unit goals;
- Ensures that projects are completed as scheduled and provides timely communication and updates to business leaders, sales, and customers;
- Key point of contact for field resources and customer as it relates to customer development projects;
- Schedule online product demonstrations;
- Develop in-depth knowledge of Egnyte’s products and services, their functionality and applications in customer learning and development initiatives;
- Act as the subject matter expert in the features, benefits and application of Egnyte’s products and services;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records;
- Ensure Egnyte’s success in the retention and growth of account revenue;
- Meet and exceed quotas utilizing a formal understanding of Solution/Consultative Selling;
- Collaborate, develop and strategize account plans with members of other Egnyte teams.
Requirements:
- Experience with SAP & Business Objects is strongly preferred;
- Excellent written / verbal communication skills to interact internally and externally with senior level corporate management;
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of other post-secondary education;
- Ability to work with multiple functional departments and roles to manage customer life cycle from implementation to renewal;
- Understanding of and past experience working with Corporate Accounts;
- Ability to present to and interact with customers and account managers;
- Passion for working with emerging technologies and an ability to understand new technical concepts;
- Strong influencing skills;
- High level of business maturity and ability to work within a matrix organization;
- Sales experience in a technology-oriented field;
- Knowledge of CRM software packages and proficiency in Microsoft Office products;
- Proven ability to prospect and manage a designated territory to maximize revenue growth;
- Must understand and know how to leverage each stage in the sales cycle to advance the sale;
- Business and category knowledge;
- 6 months – 2 years of proven sales track record.
