Retail Associate Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Retail Associate to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Clean windows and mirrors when they appear smudged or soiled or when directed by a Supervisor/Manager;
- Maintain sales floor and products to Company Standards of cleanliness, arrangement, and display;
- Keep all Fountain and Condiment supplies both on the sales floor and behind the Fountain Area stocked and in good condition;
- Maintain all Candy Making equipment and supplies in good working order, and know all recipes;
- Provide exceptional Guest service;
- Maintain the stockroom in a clean and orderly fashion;
- Keep knowledge level current of all fountain products and their required preparation;
- Utilize knowledge of products and pricing to satisfy guest inquiries and create up-sell opportunities;
- Perform “Semi-Table Service” function as part of overall Guest Satisfaction;
- Work as a “Topper” or “Scooper” as needed;
- Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs;
- Assist in seasonal inventory control;
- Attend all training as appointed by Store Manager;
- Introduce promotions and opportunities to customers;
- Direct customers to merchandise within the store.
Requirements:
- Either prior experience in a retail environment or a solid background with scuba are required;
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings and weekends;
- Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store;
- Must be able to work weekends and nights from early November to December 24;
- Must be able to view a computer screen regularly;
- Must be over 18 years old;
- Capable of counting money and making change (Basic understanding of Square POS is a plus );
- Ability to use hand truck, cart, box cutter, ladder, label maker and cleaning supplies;
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills;
- Some positions will require carrying items in excess of 10 pounds and up to 50 pounds;
- Good time management skills;
- Stocking of meals, beverages and supplies;
- Ability to maintain energy and personality on the phone with customers, and multitasking with f2f sales and help over the phone;
- Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds;
- Ability to provide superior customer service to all visitors of Santa.
