Physical Therapist - Rehab/Medicine - Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Sierra Pacific Ortho Care in New York, NY. Your expertise will contribute significantly to enhancing the quality of life for individuals undergoing rehabilitation after orthopedic injuries or surgeries.

Sierra Pacific Ortho Care is an outpatient orthopedic practice committed to delivering exceptional rehabilitation services to our patients. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and encompasses 5,000 square feet of dedicated space for sports medicine and physical therapy. With a focus on personalized care and a strong emphasis on patient outcomes, we pride ourselves on maintaining a supportive environment that fosters healing and well-being. Our team consists of experienced therapists who collaborate to provide a comprehensive approach to orthopedic rehabilitation.

As part of a close-knit team comprising two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will enjoy a collaborative work atmosphere where innovative ideas and treatment techniques are encouraged. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Develop and implement individualized care plans focused on patient mobility and functional rehabilitation.

Administer evidence-based treatments and exercises tailored to each patient's rehabilitation goals.

Manage a patient caseload efficiently, ensuring quality treatment at a pace of approximately one patient per hour.

Educate patients on injury prevention, health promotion, and wellness strategies to support their recovery.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize treatment plans and enhance patient care.

Monitor and document the progress of treatment, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

Utilize EMR software, specifically WebPT, to maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes.

Our practice primarily serves patients with private medical insurance who are recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with diverse individuals of various ages and backgrounds, guiding them through tailored rehabilitation programs that empower them to regain their physical capabilities.

A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.

Active certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of New York.

Strong foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation principles and hands-on treatment techniques.

Proficiency in manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education.
