  • Job Summary: The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department and assisting with various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and record-keeping. This role involves maintaining employee files, assisting with onboarding and training, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. The HR Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the HR team and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations. Administrative Support

Provide administrative support to the HR department, including answering phones, responding to emails, and managing the basic coordination of HR initiatives.

Prepare and process HR documents, such as employment contracts and termination paperwork.

Assist with special HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Provide general support to the HR team and perform other duties as assigned.

Recruitment and Hiring

Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and conducting orientation sessions.

Employee Relations

Assist with employee relations activities, such as organizing employee events and recognition programs.

Address employee inquiries and concerns, providing assistance and directing them to appropriate resources.

Support the HR team in resolving employee issues and maintaining a positive work environment.

Training and Development

Coordinate training and development programs, including scheduling training sessions and preparing training materials.

Assist with tracking employee training and development activities.

Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.

Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and other HR-related data.

Assist with HR audits and reporting requirements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

High school diploma/GED required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role.
  • This is an office desk position with no significant physical exertion required.

Must be willing and able to access each department at the organization's facilities with occasional travel to different business units as needed.
