Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit.
The position entails working night shifts with a focus on PCU patients.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU setting.
BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
Skills necessary for this role include IV starts, general nursing skills, patient monitoring, and medication administration.
Patient education is also a vital component of the position.
Experience with electronic health records, specifically EPIC, is required.
Telemetry experience is essential.
The unit primarily deals with a variety of diagnoses including SBO, falls, lacerations, pneumonia, head injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and fractures.
Candidates should be prepared to float to different units as needed.
Strong critical thinking and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
