Physical Therapist - Rehab/Medicine - Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Physical Therapist to join our esteemed orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation team at Fairview East Healthcare and Behavioral Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey. This is a full-time, onsite position, where you will play a crucial role in facilitating our patients' recovery journey as they strive to regain mobility and enhance their functional abilities. Fairview East Healthcare and Behavioral Center is a premier rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Elizabeth, NJ. Our commitment to providing exceptional physical therapy services shines through in our state-of-the-art 5,000-sq-ft sports medicine facility, which features cutting-edge equipment and a comfortable environment designed for optimal recovery. We focus primarily on delivering individualized therapeutic care to patients with private medical insurance, ensuring they receive the best possible support in their rehabilitation processes.

The role will take place in our collaborative and supportive rehab center, where a team of three dedicated professionals, including two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), work closely together. The work schedule is set from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a consistent routine that benefits both our employees and patients alike. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify each patient's specific needs and treatment objectives, ensuring personalized care strategies are developed.

Manage a typical caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services within our rehab center.

Utilize diverse treatment methodologies—including manual therapy techniques and exercise regimens—to develop comprehensive care plans aimed at enhancing patients' mobility and functional outcomes.

Implement alternative solutions to surgical interventions and minimize reliance on medications through evidence-based clinical methods.

Document patient care activities thoroughly to maintain accurate health records and facilitate ongoing progress reviews.

Monitor and assess treatment effectiveness regularly, ensuring open communication channels with patients to motivate them during their rehab journeys.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists and medical doctors, to optimize patient care and outcomes.

Our primary patient population consists of individuals requiring orthopedic rehabilitation, which includes those recovering from sports injuries, surgical interventions, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.

Possession of a current and valid Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, adhering to all regulatory standards.

Previous experience as a Physical Therapist within orthopedic outpatient settings is strongly preferred.

Proficiency in implementing manual therapy techniques and developing customized exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient documentation and patient management.
