Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, laying the groundwork for effective intervention.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring techniques to suit each client’s circumstances.

• Provide education to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment avenues, and essential self-care methods that promote recovery and resilience.

• Regularly monitor and document clients’ progress, revising treatment plans to adapt to changes in their condition or circumstances.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure our patients receive thorough, integrated care.

• Stay informed of advancements in mood disorder treatment through continuous education and research, enhancing your therapeutic approaches and success rates.

• Maintain strict confidentiality and accurate documentation of all client interactions in compliance with applicable legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals dealing with mood disorders, encompassing a wide variety of symptoms and personal histories. Our patient population in Poughkeepsie includes adults and adolescents who may be struggling with complex mental health issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment methods for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Experience collaborating with psychiatrists and a solid foundation in psychopharmacology.

• Proven success in achieving positive treatment outcomes with clients experiencing mood disorders.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to build rapport with diverse clients effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of direct experience providing therapy to individuals with mood disorders in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
