Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' historical trauma and develop personalized treatment strategies tailored to their unique needs.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and foster resilience, using evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions which guide patients in processing their trauma, developing coping mechanisms, and working toward emotional and psychological healing.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to ensure that each patient receives integrated, holistic care.
\n
• Respond to crisis situations by providing immediate support and intervention for trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and access to community resources to enhance their understanding and support systems.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, contributing to the overall quality and accountability of our treatment programs.

• Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and strategies that enrich our collective understanding of trauma-informed care.

• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in trauma-focused therapy to continually enhance your skills and effectiveness as a therapist.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients who have experienced significant trauma, particularly survivors of PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. By understanding the nuanced needs and mental health challenges of these individuals, you will have the opportunity to empower them on their healing journey and foster lasting resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and experience with various trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with a capacity to engage with patients in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.
\n
• Ability to perform effectively in high-stress situations, demonstrating calmness and critical thinking.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and a basic proficiency in necessary computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we value a strong clinical foundation in trauma-focused therapies and a demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed care. Experience in a community health setting or with similar patient populations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
