Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, forming the foundation for tailored treatment plans.

• Develop personalized and client-centered treatment strategies in collaboration with clients, ensuring their specific needs, goals, and preferences are reflected in their care.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for mood disorders, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting approaches based on client responses and progress.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and coping strategies to foster understanding and encourage active participation in the treatment process.

• Track and monitor client outcomes, adjusting treatment plans and interventions as needed to maximize effectiveness and engagement.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care coordination and an integrated approach to mental health treatment.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and clinical practices in mood disorder treatment to inform and enhance therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential client documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that client information is secure and accessible for relevant team members.

Qualifications\n

• A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated competency in evidence-based treatment approaches for mood disorders, with a focus on CBT and DBT.

• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure holistic client care.

• A proven track record of successful client outcomes in treating mood disorders.
