Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' psychological history and current mental health status, guiding the formulation of effective treatment plans.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment strategies that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and the enhancement of coping skills.

• Utilize a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailoring techniques to each patient’s unique circumstances.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging shared experiences and supporting patients in processing their trauma.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate guidance to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources, empowering them in their recovery.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with legal and ethical regulations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

• Participate in ongoing case consultations, team meetings, and training sessions to stay well-informed about the latest practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic caters primarily to individuals who have faced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and other distressing life events. As a mental health counselor, you will work with a diverse client base, helping them navigate the complexities of their experiences and fostering a supportive environment for healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, particularly in trauma-informed care.

• Demonstrated expertise in trauma-related disorders and substantial knowledge of evidence-based treatment methodologies specific to mental health therapy.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach toward patient interaction.

• Ability to manage high-pressure scenarios with resilience and professionalism.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology.

• Strong collaborative skills, working effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
