Work Environment

This position is onsite and primarily operates in clients' homes throughout the vibrant community of West Palm Beach, Florida. Your typical week will consist of scheduled visits from Monday to Friday, fostering a good work-life balance while you extend your expertise to those in need. The home care setting allows you to develop meaningful relationships with clients, tailoring your interventions to their specific lifestyle and home environment for enhanced effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at improving client mobility, alleviating pain, and maximizing overall function.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to ensure adherence to patient care protocols and the successful implementation of treatment strategies.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, applying diagnostic tests related to muscle, nerve, and joint functions to inform therapy approaches.
• Assess home environments to make tailored recommendations that enhance patient independence and safety during rehabilitation.
• Administer an array of therapeutic exercises and modalities, including but not limited to manual therapy, traction, and the application of physical agents.
• Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on collected data and feedback from both clients and healthcare team members.
• Maintain detailed clinical records, including initial evaluations and treatment summaries, to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to collaboratively discuss patient treatment plans and enhance overall care strategies.
• Provide education to clients and families regarding care techniques, home therapy devices, and comprehensive physical therapy programs.
• Ensure timely submission of all clinical documentation and administrative tasks in alignment with organizational policies.

Our client base includes individuals requiring rehabilitative support for various conditions, including post-operative recovery, chronic pain management, and mobility impairments due to age or illness. Many clients are seniors who may also benefit from assistance in maintaining their independence at home. Your role will be critical in creating customized therapy sessions that promote both physical improvement and emotional well-being, integral to their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida, with no prior sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy techniques and a comprehensive knowledge of contemporary therapeutic modalities.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient documentation and patient tracking.
• Strong foundation in physical therapy principles supported by the latest research and clinical practices.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a home health setting or outpatient facility is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and lead successful exercise programs tailored to diverse client needs.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
