Key Responsibilities

In this role as a Physical Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and patient needs.
• Implementing therapy sessions utilizing interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and patient education.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies to optimize results, and ensuring alignment with the physician's plan of care.
• Providing consultations and education to patients and their caregivers, helping them understand their conditions and the importance of adherence to treatment plans.
• Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and the broader care team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based methodologies.
• Taking an active role in achieving minimum utilization goals and contributing to the business objectives of Viera Physical Therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will treat a diverse range of patients, including those with orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, pediatric cases, and sports-related injuries. Qualifications

The successful applicant will meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) as recognized by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with both patients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in word processing and familiarity with healthcare software systems for documentation and reporting.
• A demonstrated ability to form trusting relationships with patients to support them in reaching their functional goals.
• A genuine desire to create meaningful connections and positively impact the lives of others.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience are required, candidates with a background in home health physical therapy or specialized training in pediatric and neurological therapies will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with telehealth tools and digital patient management systems will also be advantageous in this role.
