Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and needs, ensuring a thorough understanding of their history and presenting issues.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches to address a spectrum of mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, and substance abuse.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions with clients, providing both individual and group therapy, leveraging culturally responsive techniques to promote inclusivity.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and refer clients to additional healthcare providers for integrated care, including psychiatrists and other specialists, when needed.

• Document therapy sessions and treatment plans effectively within our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

• Maintain a professional demeanor, adhering to ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards at all times.

The client population served by A Step Ahead Counseling Center encompasses a diverse range of backgrounds and mental health challenges. Counselors will work with individuals struggling with issues such as substance abuse, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and trauma. Qualifications\n

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of four years of hands-on experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating proficiency in therapy techniques and client engagement.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities, especially evidence-based practices.

• Strong skills in crisis intervention, with proven ability to manage challenging situations effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

• Proficiency in EHR systems and the ability to utilize various computer applications for record-keeping and communication.

Compensation and Benefits\n
