Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments that document clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, laying the groundwork for effective treatment.
\n
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect a comprehensive understanding of clients’ unique circumstances and needs, including those of families and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions while employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to foster meaningful dialogue and growth.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure alignment with evolving needs and objectives.
\n
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health professionals, to develop cohesive intervention strategies that support holistic care.

• Work with family members and primary caregivers to educate and assist them in managing mental and behavioral challenges associated with the client's treatment.
\n
• Help manage client referrals to other specialists and healthcare providers as needed, ensuring continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will play a vital role in promoting resilience and recovery in clients navigating various life situations.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
\n
• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience as a mental health counselor, with a strong emphasis on client-centered care.
\n
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate client records.
\n
• Familiarity with the current best practices in mental health as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Adept understanding of underlying physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
\n
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and their families.
\n
• Intrinsic qualities such as empathy, patience, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience with specialized populations, including adolescents and clients with complex trauma backgrounds.

• Expertise in specific therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR) that enhance treatment efficacy.

• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their impact on overall mental health treatment.
