Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the functional abilities and needs of patients, utilizing a variety of diagnostic tests to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement physical therapy treatment interventions aimed at alleviating pain, enhancing movement, and restoring muscle function. This includes administering manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and use of physical agents.
• Oversee and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in the execution of treatment plans, ensuring alignment with best practices and applicable state laws.
• Document patient progress meticulously through clinical records including evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary cooperation by participating in case conferences and collaborating with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to evaluate and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic devices, home exercises, and overall care strategies to empower individuals in their recovery journey.
• Monitor and report any changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment to the relevant healthcare team members, advocating for adjustments in care as necessary.
• Stay abreast of relevant trends in physical therapy, continuing education requirements, and best practices to ensure the highest standard of care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution is required; advanced degrees such as a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) are preferred.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida, in good standing.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience in physical therapy, preferably in an outpatient or acute care setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• A commitment to clinical excellence and a patient-centered approach to care.
• Current CPR certification and knowledge of federal, state, and agency regulations governing practice.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in rehabilitation settings, particularly in outpatient facilities.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient tracking.
• Capability to formulate and adjust treatment plans based on clinical assessment and feedback.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
