Work Environment\n

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments, employing standardized tools and clinical interviews to develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to deliver effective interventions tailored to the needs of individuals, couples, and families.

• Lead psychoeducational and support groups, fostering a supportive community atmosphere where clients can share experiences and learn coping strategies.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and ensuring safety for clients and staff.

• Educate clients about their mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing case management software to track patient progress.

• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to enhance collaborative care and share insights on best practices.

• Engage in ongoing learning to stay current with developments in the mental health field, incorporating new research into your practice.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
