Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the unique needs of clients seeking treatment for substance use disorders, ensuring the development of individualized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy, to guide clients through their recovery journeys.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions that foster community and provide support among peers sharing similar recovery experiences.

• Implement crisis intervention strategies, providing immediate support during emergencies related to substance use, ensuring client safety and wellbeing.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive and coordinated care plan, sharing insights and progress updates during regular team meetings.

• Offer education to clients and families regarding substance use disorders, recovery pathways, and available community resources to promote informed decision-making.

• Maintain adherence to legal and ethical standards through accurate documentation practices, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities and case consultations to enhance therapeutic skills and stay informed on the latest advancements in substance use treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on individuals battling substance use disorders. The patient demographics range widely, encompassing adolescents to adults, all facing varying levels of addiction challenges. You will be instrumental in creating a nurturing space where clients can openly explore their struggles and develop a pathway toward sustainable recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• A solid understanding of substance use disorders and familiarity with a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Strong experience in conducting individual and group therapy within the context of addiction treatment.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by an empathetic and non-judgmental approach.

• Proficiency in maintaining professional boundaries and strict adherence to ethical guidelines.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and comfortable navigating computer applications to document patient progress.

• A collaborative spirit, ready to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working in addiction recovery or facilitating therapy within an outpatient setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
