Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for greater flexibility and work-life balance while you still remain connected with a collaborative team. Although you will primarily work from home, you will be part of a supportive outpatient office environment, collaborating with fellow mental health professionals who share a passion for fostering positive outcomes for clients. We maintain operational hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility required as patient needs may dictate.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments by utilizing advanced, evidence-based practices and solution-focused interventions to develop customized treatment plans for each client.

• Implement a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches to address the specific needs of clients.

• Maintain accurate and secure clinical documentation following HIPAA regulations and organizational policies to ensure the confidentiality of client information.

• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary treatment team, facilitating coordinated care among psychiatrists, psychologists, and additional mental health professionals.

• Engage in regular case consultations and peer review sessions to continually enhance clinical practice and improve the quality of care delivered to clients.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families, arming them with essential knowledge about mental health conditions, treatment alternatives, and available community resources.

• Stay updated on ongoing research and advancements in the mental health field to continuously enrich your practice and foster a culture of knowledge sharing among colleagues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Backpack Mental Support, Inc., you will serve a diverse client population experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, including children, adolescents, and adults. You will take a holistic approach, considering each individual's unique circumstances, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences to tailor interventions that foster acute healing and support long-term recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Oregon.

• Proven ability to apply solution-oriented therapeutic techniques and interventions to create a personalized approach for each client.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster strong therapeutic relationships with clients and collaboration with colleagues.
