Work Environment

This position is entirely onsite, involving home visits to patients around the Red Bank area. You will work closely with patients in various home environments, allowing for a unique opportunity to see how therapy can be integrated into daily living. As a member of our in-home care team, you will have the autonomy to choose your hours, typically within a Monday to Friday schedule. This flexibility allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while providing critical support to your patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and design personalized treatment plans aimed at addressing mobility limitations and recovery from injury, surgery, or chronic ailments.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities, to alleviate pain, enhance mobility, and expedite recovery timelines.
• Document all treatment sessions meticulously, tracking patient responses, progress, and adapting therapeutic goals as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment procedures, proper exercise techniques, and the use of assistive devices when required, ensuring comprehensive understanding and compliance.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient care strategies, share insights, and maintain a collaborative approach to patient progress.
• Stay current with emerging trends and evidence-based practices in physical therapy by attending seminars, conferences, and engaging with professional literature.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will engage with range across various age groups—from children to the elderly—each with unique needs and rehabilitation goals. This role is vital in providing support and motivation for patients confronting various health challenges, thereby fostering their independence and improving their physical capabilities. By working closely with caregivers and family members, you will help build a supportive environment conducive to recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly preferred.
• A valid State License to practice Physical Therapy in New Jersey.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively document treatment responses and educate patients and their families.
• Ability to utilize computer systems for documentation and scheduling purposes.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience in physical therapy is required, this role is also open to enthusiastic new graduates who are willing to learn and grow within our supportive environment. A current CPR certification is also required to ensure the safety of our patients.

Compensation and Benefits
