Work Environment

As an onsite Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Red Bank, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific orthopedic conditions, focusing on injury prevention, pain management, and enhancing functional mobility.
• Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants, ensuring the effective execution of therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities using diagnostic assessments for muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities.
• Assess patients' home environments to identify barriers to rehabilitation and provide recommendations that foster independence and safety.
• Administer a range of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities involving physical agents, such as traction and massage.
• Create and maintain accurate clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team during case conferences to enhance treatment strategies and optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families regarding rehabilitation exercises, the use of assistive devices, and the overall management of their conditions.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training to stay current with industry standards and innovations in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Fulfill any additional duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the facility and the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patients will primarily consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, traumatic injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will play a vital role in guiding them through rehabilitation, helping to restore mobility, strength, and function while considering their unique needs and goals. Your personalized approach to care will greatly influence their recovery journey, enhancing their ability to return to their normal activities and improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed physical therapist is required, ideally within an acute care or home care setting.
• Possess a current PT license in good standing in the state of New Jersey.
• Maintain current CPR certification.
• Have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance, as local travel may be required.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical excellence and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
