Position Overview

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Cardiology at the Gutierrez Oncology & Internal Medicine Center in Lancaster, New York. This full-time position is a unique opportunity to impact patient care by working in the outpatient practice of the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC). You will be under the direct supervision of our Chief Nurse Practitioner and the Medical Director of Cardiology.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our Lancaster facility, where you will work in a supportive, team-oriented atmosphere alongside experienced physicians and fellow NPs. Our outpatient facility is designed to cater to various cardiac care needs, ensuring patients receive seamless care in a comfortable environment. Our work hours are structured from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with no call duties, nights, or weekends required, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with cardiologists, managing a diverse patient caseload.
• Assess and treat patients with chronic and acute conditions such as Hypertension, High Cholesterol, Coronary Artery Disease, and Congestive Heart Failure.
• Provide outpatient Electrophysiology services for patients experiencing abnormal electrocardiograms and arrhythmias.
• Conduct stress tests and analyze results to determine necessary interventions.
• Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations, and prescribe medications in accordance with patient needs and protocols.
• Facilitate patient referrals to specialists within our network as indicated.
• Engage with patients and their families to provide education about health management, lifestyle modifications, and treatment plans.
• Participate in team meetings and case reviews to ensure coordinated patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner, you will primarily focus on adult patients suffering from various cardiovascular conditions. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient outcomes through our evidence-based practices, comprehensive assessments, and tailored treatment plans. We serve a diverse community in Lancaster, ensuring that all patients receive attentive and specialized cardiac care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Master's degree or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
• Successful completion of national certification in a relevant specialty.
• Solid foundational knowledge evidenced by the completion of a program tailored to cardiology needs.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and staying current in the field of cardiology.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome applications from new graduates, candidates with prior inpatient or outpatient cardiology experience will be given priority. Familiarity with electrophysiology, stress testing, and managing chronic cardiovascular conditions will enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits
