Key Responsibilities

As an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Delivering consistent, high-quality care in accordance with national and community standards.
• Assessing patient health status, interpreting diagnostic information, and developing individualized care plans that align with age-specific needs.
• Collaborating with office staff to streamline office practices and enhance clinic efficiency.
• Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with hospital leadership and other healthcare providers.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to best practices within your department.
• Engaging in patient management strategies that align practice goals with those of the broader health system.
• Actively advocating for patients and their needs while modeling professionalism and leadership.
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient care records within two business days of service.
• Ensuring your professional qualifications—including licenses, registrations, and insurances—are current.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve adult and geriatric patients within the internal medicine focus. Your approach will involve a comprehensive understanding of the unique healthcare needs of these populations, allowing you to deliver exceptional care tailored to their specific circumstances. You will also utilize your expertise to educate patients and their families about health management and preventative care.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• New York State certification/registration as an Adult, Family, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
• AANP Board Certification.
• A valid DEA license.
• The ability to obtain appropriate privileges at F. F. Thompson Health.
• Preferred knowledge of ICD-10 coding.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an internal medicine setting is highly preferred. Individuals who have a solid foundation in outpatient clinical medicine and can demonstrate excellence in communication and patient care will thrive in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 150,000 to USD 160,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to salary, F. F.
