Work Environment

You will be working onsite in our fully-equipped rehabilitation center located in Charlottesville, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized therapy programs tailored to each patient's unique recovery goals, incorporating advanced techniques to enhance their motion and strengthen their physical capabilities.
• Maintain a manageable caseload, enabling you to dedicate the necessary time and resources to each patient's treatment plan.
• Leverage your expertise in orthopedic care to deliver effective treatments and interventions that promote rehabilitation and recovery.
• Throughout the treatment process, emphasize non-surgical methods and educate patients on alternative strategies that reduce reliance on medications.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities and approaches.
• Design customized fitness and wellness programs that align with patients' specific needs and physical conditions.
• Continuously assess patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Document therapy sessions and treatment details accurately using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, to ensure seamless communication and patient care continuity.
• Encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, using motivational techniques to keep them engaged and focused on achieving their health objectives.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle by enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination in engaging and creative ways.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Southcoast, you will primarily work with a diverse outpatient population. This includes athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals rehabilitating from surgeries, and those managing chronic pain conditions. You will be instrumental in helping these patients regain their mobility, independence, and quality of life through tailored therapy interventions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program is required.
• Valid and active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, with no history of disciplinary actions or sanctions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in a range of manual therapy techniques and exercise program development.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic interventions supported by current research and best practices in the field.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly Web PT, for efficient documentation of patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with advanced therapeutic tools and technologies used in modern rehabilitation.
• Experience in working with diverse patient populations and the ability to adapt treatment methods based on individual needs.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
