Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Houston facility, where the environment is both professional and collegial. You will be working alongside a dynamic team of five physicians and five nurse practitioners, ensuring collaborative care for patients. Our center functions efficiently from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing flexibility in scheduling while delivering essential medical services after regular hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough physical examinations and review patients’ medical histories to guide diagnoses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood tests and X-rays, determining appropriate courses of action based on results.
• Diagnose acute and chronic health conditions, developing treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans, continually evaluating the efficacy of prescribed interventions.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
• Educate patients about their health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies to promote disease prevention.
• Engage in research activities to stay informed on the latest healthcare practices and contribute actively to team discussions aimed at improving patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our urgent care facility serves a broad demographic, ranging from children to adults presenting with urgent medical issues, minor injuries, and various illnesses. With a focus on delivering timely and effective medical care, our practitioners play a crucial role in managing patient encounters that often require quick decision-making and compassionate support.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing and active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Texas.
• National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
• Possession of a current DEA number essential for prescribing controlled substances.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish are required to effectively communicate with our multilingual patient base.

Preferred Experience

Experience in urgent care, acute care, family health, or similar clinical settings is highly valued. Candidates should have demonstrated expertise in primary and chronic care practices, showcasing a commitment to continual learning and adaptation within the evolving landscape of healthcare.

Compensation and Benefits
