Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients presenting with functional limitations and orthopedic dysfunctions, formulating tailored treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing consultations and updates to healthcare providers regarding each patient's continuum of care.
• Implement evidence-based interventions, re-evaluating progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate and involve patients and their families in the treatment process, fostering understanding and compliance with rehabilitation protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all assessment and treatment activities, billing for services rendered per clinic standards and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and mentor support staff and physical therapy students, ensuring quality care and adherence to clinic practices.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote the clinic's services and enhance accessibility to physical therapy.
• Participate in leadership activities, including quality improvement (CQI) initiatives and program development, to elevate the standard of care provided.
• Attend regular staff meetings, contributing insights and updates on patient progress and community trends in orthopedic rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, chronic pain conditions, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Your role will involve providing individualized care to enhance functional recovery and improve each patient's quality of life, with the clinic dedicated to fostering equity and accessibility in physical therapy services for all community members.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid State License to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary for this role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective patient engagement and collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer skills are expected.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience of at least two years in orthopedic physical therapy is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
