Work Environment

This position is located onsite in our vibrant outpatient office in Fort Lauderdale, where the sunny climate and beautiful surroundings add to the appeal of the workplace. Our facility accommodates diverse patient needs and provides a collaborative atmosphere where you will work alongside two other skilled physical therapists and a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). The work schedule for this role is structured from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to recognize the goals and individual needs of each patient, allowing for personalized care strategies.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring quality interaction and treatment tailored specifically to each case.
• Utilize expertise in orthopedic conditions to deliver effective therapeutic interventions that enhance mobility and reduce pain.
• Create evidence-based care plans that incorporate various treatment techniques and modalities, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise programs.
• Advocate for the use of non-invasive treatment options to minimize reliance on medications and promote quicker recovery.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes, documenting all services provided to maintain clear communication and progress tracking.
• Collaborate with other health professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans and share patient progress.
• Encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation to foster motivation and achieve optimal functional outcomes.
• Promote healthy lifestyle practices focusing on improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination among patients.
• Document patient care services accurately to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and facilitate quality audits.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on the orthopedic outpatient population, including patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with individuals who are driven to return to their daily activities, from athletes aspiring to regain their peak performance to everyday individuals seeking relief from pain and improved function. Your role is instrumental in providing personalized care that meets each client's unique needs and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist, preferably in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Possession of a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, with no disciplinary actions recorded.
• Proficiency in performing manual therapy techniques and developing customized exercise programs.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) software, preferably WebPT, to document patient interactions and treatment plans effectively.

Preferred Experience

Familiarity with working in a high-demand environment and managing patient caseloads effectively will be advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage patients actively in their treatment plans will greatly enhance patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, reflecting your experience and dedication to patient care.
