Work Environment

This position will be performed onsite, allowing therapists to work closely with patients in a collaborative and nurturing atmosphere. Our facility covers 5,000 square feet, incorporating areas specifically designed for sports medicine and rehabilitation, further enhancing treatment efficacy through specialized equipment and therapeutic modalities. As part of your day-to-day activities, you will interact closely with colleagues, including two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), fostering a collaborative approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify the objectives and specific needs of patients, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to enhance patients' physical capabilities while minimizing reliance on medications and invasive procedures.
• Manage an effective caseload, typically engaging with one patient per hour to ensure focused and detailed treatment.
• Create and administer exercise and rehabilitation protocols that align with best practices and the latest research in orthopedic care.
• Mentor and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey, fostering a commitment to improving their physical health and lifestyle habits.
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly, utilizing WebPT EMR Software to streamline record-keeping and treatment tracking.
• Monitor patient progress by evaluating treatment outcomes, making adjustments as necessary to optimize care delivery.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals, such as physicians and specialists, to ensure cohesive patient care and facilitate referrals as required.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will primarily serve a diverse adult clientele needing rehabilitation for various orthopedic conditions. This includes individuals recovering from sports injuries, surgical procedures, chronic pain syndromes, and post-traumatic conditions. By prioritizing patient-centered care, you will address their unique challenges, help them navigate their rehabilitation journeys, and encourage a proactive approach to their long-term health.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida is required.
• Maintain a clean professional record without any disciplinary actions against the license.
• Exhibit proficiency in manual therapy techniques and clinical skills relevant to orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Demonstrate exceptional ability to design and implement effective exercise programs.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with WebPT EMR software to enhance workflow efficiency is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health and well-being.
