Key Responsibilities

In your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will have the following key responsibilities:

• Design targeted physical therapy treatment programs aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and improving physical function for orthopedic patients.
• Conduct thorough evaluations using diagnostic and functional assessments to determine patients' levels of function and customize treatment plans accordingly.
• Supervise and oversee Physical Therapy Assistants in implementing care plans effectively, ensuring adherence to best practice standards.
• Provide in-depth education and training for patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, self-care techniques, and use of assistive devices.
• Document and manage clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adapt care strategies as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Administer modalities such as manual therapy, traction, and therapeutic exercises, ensuring each treatment aligns with patient rehabilitation goals.
• Monitor and report progress in patient conditions, and adjust therapy plans in consultation with physicians and case managers as needed.
• Participate in staff development activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinic services.

Qualifications
