Work Environment

This position operates primarily onsite within our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Facility. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents to assess their physical capabilities and determine personalized treatment needs based on clinical best practices.
• Regularly monitor and document residents' progress, making timely adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide holistic, integrated care pathways for individual patients.
• Educate residents and their families on effective home exercise programs and health maintenance strategies to ensure continuity of care post-treatment.
• Implement individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing strength, mobility, and functional independence through evidence-based methodologies.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and electrotherapy modalities as appropriate for the patient's condition.
• Adhere strictly to state regulations and professional standards, maintaining necessary licensure and documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves residents in a rehabilitation setting, focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and degenerative conditions. The patient demographic mainly includes older adults and individuals with mobility impairments, where empathy and effective communication are paramount in building rapport and trust.

Qualifications

• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; candidates with a Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy are preferred and encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
