Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Here, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and assistants, all dedicated to ensuring the best outcomes for our patients. The facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment and resources to support comprehensive rehabilitation efforts. You will typically work Monday through Friday, with flexible hours from either 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual rehabilitation needs and create personalized treatment plans that align with best practices and patient goals.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including active and passive exercises, muscle re-education techniques, and functional training tailored to restore optimal mobility and strength.
• Guide patients through rehabilitation with a focus on pain reduction strategies and education about their injuries, suitable exercises, and recovery plans.
• Utilize a variety of techniques such as manual therapy, stretching, and massage to facilitate recovery, improve flexibility, and address specific orthopedic needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families to explain treatment progress and address any concerns, ensuring they feel supported throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate with fellow staff members, sharing findings and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to uphold high standards of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with adult patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and various musculoskeletal impairments. This includes individuals suffering from conditions such as fractures, arthritis, sports injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation. Your expertise will guide each patient toward regaining independence and improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; however, candidates with a Master's Degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) are highly preferred.
• An active, valid state physical therapy license to practice in Florida.
• A minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a physical therapist, particularly with a focus on orthopedic cases.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with other team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Preference will be given to candidates with board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy.
• Proficiency in utilizing advanced rehabilitation technologies and methodologies within a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
