Key Responsibilities

• Conduct through evaluations of patients' physical abilities, strengths, and weaknesses to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's orthopedic needs.
• Utilize a combination of hands-on techniques, therapeutic exercises, and equipment tailored to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Document patient progress meticulously, including treatments, responses, and outcomes, ensuring that all records comply with regulatory standards.
• Regularly reassess patients and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure maximum efficacy in promoting recovery.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy procedures and the proper use of assistive devices that aid in mobility and self-care.
• Participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration to contribute to comprehensive patient care approaches.
• Maintain current knowledge of orthopedic therapy practices through ongoing education and participation in professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will work closely with a diverse population of patients, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. This role requires a compassionate and motivational approach, as therapists often help patients overcome challenges related to mobility and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapist (DPT) recognized by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• Two (2) years of relevant experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is required.
• Current CPR certification is essential for this role.

Preferred Experience
