Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to gather insights into patients' mental health and substance use history, establishing their individual treatment goals.

• Create personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based methodologies, closely monitoring progress and adjusting approaches as needed.

• Provide individual counseling sessions using motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to facilitate behavioral change.

• Lead group therapy sessions that foster community support and collective healing among patients.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each patient.

• Offer crisis intervention when necessary, providing immediate support and guidance during substance-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about the recovery process, strategies for handling triggers, and resources available in the community.

• Maintain meticulous documentation to meet compliance standards, ensuring confidentiality and ethical practices within the therapeutic setting.

• Actively participate in team meetings to discuss case management and contribute to ongoing professional development through training and workshops.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and treatment practices related to substance use disorders to continually enhance service provision.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Clinical Mental Health Counselor will primarily work with adults experiencing substance use disorders, including co-occurring mental health issues. Our patient population is diverse, requiring a culturally competent approach to treatment that respects unique backgrounds and individual histories. Your ability to connect with patients and provide empathetic support will be essential in fostering a safe environment for recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current and valid state licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or PSYD.

Compensation and Benefits\n
