Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological needs of children and adolescents, identifying underlying issues that require intervention.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that are developmentally appropriate, taking into account the unique family dynamics and challenges that each child faces.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Play Therapy, to address conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers, equipping them with strategies to create a nurturing and supportive home environment.

• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and comprehensive support.

• Provide timely crisis intervention for children in distress, ensuring their safety and well-being during emergencies.

• Educate children and their families about mental health disorders, available treatment options, and relevant community resources to enable informed decision-making.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents ranging in age from 5 to 18 years, addressing a myriad of mental health issues while respecting the unique backgrounds and experiences of each young client. The role demands a strong empathetic presence and a commitment to understanding the systematic factors affecting mental health, ensuring that interventions are effective and culturally sensitive.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required; advanced degrees preferred.

• A valid and current mental health licensure in California as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist).

• Strong familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities for child and adolescent mental health disorders.

• Exceptional communication skills, with a track record of building rapport with young individuals and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
