Make a difference in the lives of students by stepping into a contract Special Education Teaching position, supporting children with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities in an elementary school environment near Andover, MN. Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required; must be attached with application)
• Experience working with students who have significant cognitive disabilities preferred
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with support staff, families, and related service providers
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Innovative, adaptable, and skilled in differentiating instruction
• Positive attitude and commitment to inclusive education

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to a caseload of approximately nine elementary-aged students with developmental cognitive disabilities
• Develop, implement, and review IEPs, ensuring accommodations and modifications are delivered appropriately
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and behavioral supports
• Maintain classroom organization and a supportive, safe learning environment
• Track student growth, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings
• Deliver instruction onsite, following school policies and schedule (37.5 hours weekly, M-F; 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
• Engage in ongoing professional development
