Make a meaningful impact as an onsite Special Education Teacher supporting students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) in an engaging elementary school environment. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work closely with a small group—typically around 9 students—ensuring they receive tailored instruction and the support they need to thrive.

Start your school year off right, beginning late August with a contract that runs through early June. You'll be part of a passionate, collaborative team, delivering individualized education that makes a real difference every day.

Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required)
• Previous experience with DCD or similar special education caseloads preferred
• Deep commitment to nurturing, adaptive instruction and student advocacy
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with other educators, families, and related service providers

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement IEPs, adapting lessons for students with developmental cognitive disabilities
• Provide direct instruction, positive behavioral supports, and ongoing assessment of student progress
• Collaborate with resource teachers, therapists, and paraprofessionals for comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, communication, and compliance
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom where every student’s strengths are celebrated

Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule with roughly 37.5 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 8:30–4:30), allowing for meaningful connections with your students while maintaining a balanced routine.
