Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of students and their families, identifying emotional, social, and environmental strengths and challenges related to their mental health, academic performance, and life situations.

• Formulate, develop, and implement individualized intervention plans based on social work principles and clinical best practices.

• Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to care, promoting student well-being.

• Facilitate discharge planning processes to ensure students have the support needed during transitions, including interacting with external providers and support services.

• Provide education and counseling to students and their families around potential adaptations to academic demands and personal challenges.

• Use crisis intervention techniques and deliver both brief and long-term therapy through individual, group, and family sessions as needed.

• Serve as an educational resource for school staff, offering guidance on mental health issues and strategies to support students.

• Participate in on-call rotations, providing after-hours support to address urgent mental health needs.

• Present and share your expertise at workshops and conferences focused on psychosocial support for students and families.

• Engage with the wider community through volunteerism, research, and consultation, enhancing services available for those impacted by mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents dealing with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work is required; an active LCSW license in New Jersey is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
