The Physician Assistant (PA) at Clarity Wellness PA plays a critical role in the delivery of healthcare services, working closely with physicians to assess, diagnose, and manage patient care. Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our surgical center in New York, New York. You will be part of an energetic team of healthcare professionals committed to excellence in patient care. The working hours are designed for a healthy work-life balance, operating Monday to Friday with evening shifts starting at 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and take comprehensive medical histories from patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work and imaging studies to assist in accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses and health conditions, ensuring alignment with the principles of family medicine.
• Formulate patient-centric treatment plans for both chronic and acute conditions, integrating evidence-based practices into care.
• Prescribe medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment protocols when necessary.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and organized patient records utilizing the latest electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding preventive care, managing diseases, and navigating health challenges.
• Promote a culture of health and wellness, encouraging patients to adopt healthy lifestyle practices.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and comprehensive treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily manage a diverse patient population in the surgical center setting, focusing on individuals with a range of primary care needs. This includes providing care for patients experiencing acute medical issues as well as chronic health conditions. Your expertise in family medicine ensures that you can effectively address the healthcare needs of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric patients, fostering a community-oriented approach to health.

Qualifications

• Education: A relevant Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Certifications: Current certification as a Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Experience: Proven clinical experience, preferably within a family health clinic or surgical environment.
• Expertise: Specialization in family medicine, with extensive clinical acumen in primary care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 160,000 annually , depending on experience and qualifications.
