Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Mental Health Therapist will have a broad range of responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to assess patients’ histories and identify suitable treatment paths.

• Developing and executing individualized treatment plans that promote trauma recovery and resilience, using methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating engaging individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma, build coping strategies, and encourage emotional healing.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive care and optimal treatment outcomes.

• Providing immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients have access to critical resources.

• Educating clients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available support mechanisms.

• Maintaining accurate and secure patient documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participating in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities concentrated on trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary population served by our center includes individuals navigating the complexities of trauma-related conditions. This includes survivors of childhood abuse, military veterans, victims of violence, and individuals coping with domestic issues or acute stress reactions. Your role as a therapist will be pivotal in guiding these clients through their paths to recovery, offering them the tools needed to overcome their past experiences and thrive.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• Demonstrated strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.
\n
• A strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with varied backgrounds in trauma-focused therapies, including prior experience with EMDR and TF-CBT, will be highly valued. Experience conducting psychological assessments and implementing group therapy is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
