Key Responsibilities\n

As a Trauma-Focused Mental Health Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to identify clients' unique needs and inform individualized treatment strategies.

• Developing, implementing, and regularly reviewing tailored treatment plans aimed at helping patients recover from trauma and build resilience.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and other trauma-informed approaches.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to address their trauma, learn effective coping mechanisms, and promote emotional healing.

• Collaborating with a team of psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to establish a well-rounded treatment approach, ensuring holistic care for each patient.

• Providing immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies while maintaining professionalism and composure.

• Educating patients and their families on trauma responses and coping strategies, fostering an understanding of the healing process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure—such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)—in the state of Georgia.
