Work Environment\n

This role is designed for a remote work setting, allowing for flexibility while remaining part of a supportive team. As a counselor in our community health clinic, you will have the opportunity to reach patients from various backgrounds, with a schedule running Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Some flexibility may be required to accommodate the specific needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to accurately gauge patients' unique experiences and tailor treatment plans accordingly.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, personalizing approaches to meet the distinct cultural and personal backgrounds of each patient.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address a wide range of mental health concerns, enhancing patients’ resilience and overall well-being.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide timely crisis intervention, offering immediate support to individuals experiencing significant mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and relevant community resources.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in alignment with ethical and legal standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficiency.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case conferences, sharing insights that promote cultural competency and continual learning among colleagues.

• Stay updated on the latest research findings, evidence-based best practices, and cultural considerations in mental health therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Deep knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, emphasizing cultural competence in therapy.

• Ability to deliver individual and group therapy using inclusive and culturally responsive methodologies.

• Strong crisis intervention capabilities and a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster rapport with diverse patients.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and relevant software applications.

• A commitment to maintaining professional ethics and confidentiality while collaborating within a multidisciplinary framework.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
