This position allows counselors to work remotely, providing flexibility and convenience while maintaining a close connection with our clients. Although the work is primarily remote, you'll engage in regular meetings and collaborations with multidisciplinary teams through telehealth systems and digital communication tools. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, employing standardized tools and protocols to establish baseline measurements of mental health.

• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to clients' unique needs, with goals that are measurable and achievable to promote accountability in their recovery journey.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other methodologies designed to help clients confront and manage their mental health challenges.

• Work collaboratively with a treatment team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, case managers, and other therapists to ensure integrated care that addresses all facets of clients' mental and emotional needs.

• Educate clients’ families, fostering their understanding and participation in treatment, and creating an ecosystem of support that extends beyond therapy sessions.

• Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines, ensuring that documentation is accurate and readily accessible for auditing and quality assurance purposes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At Medchoice Counseling Center, our clientele encompasses a broad spectrum of ages, backgrounds, and mental health issues including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Counselors have the opportunity to tailor their therapeutic approach to meet the diverse needs of our clients, enhancing cultural competence through direct engagement with individuals from varied life experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A current, valid license in Texas as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) , Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) , Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) , or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) .

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in mental health counseling, with a strong understanding of various evidence-based practices and their applications across different client presentations.

• Strong therapeutic and counseling skills, with the ability to establish rapport and motivate clients within varied therapeutic contexts.
\n
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for effective teamwork and relationships with clients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure counseling experience is preferred, particularly within a community clinic or similar environment.

• Experience in telehealth service delivery is a significant asset, as well as familiarity with mental health documentation software.
