Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting findings meticulously from initial consultations through to treatment conclusion.

• Develop and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans for clients from diverse backgrounds, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and adapting as necessary to meet the unique needs of clients.
\n
• Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress throughout the treatment process, ensuring that intervention strategies remain relevant and effective.

• Collaborate with various healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to create cohesive intervention plans addressing comprehensive patient needs.

• Manage referrals to other specialists or services as required, ensuring seamless transitions in care.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the challenges associated with mental health issues.

• Continuously enhance knowledge of current best practices in mental health care by staying updated with the latest research and attending professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work at Great Bliss Behavioral Health Center will primarily involve serving clients facing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. We prioritize a collaborative approach, acknowledging the importance of engaging clients and their families in the therapeutic process to foster a supportive network that enhances recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A passing score from the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, along with strong interpersonal skills.
\n
• Demonstrated experience and a deep understanding of various mental health and substance use disorders.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling role, ideally within a community health setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, or similar platforms.

• Proven success collaborating with healthcare teams and understanding the interplay between physical and mental health conditions.

• Knowledge of best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and current therapeutic modalities.

• Insightful understanding of pharmacological treatment impacts and specific medications prescribed by medical professionals.
