Mind, Body, & Soul Counseling is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative Special Education Program based in Fort Worth, Texas. Work Environment\n

This position is mostly remote, allowing for flexibility while connecting with students and staff. You will be heavily involved in a school-setting where teamwork is essential. Our supportive environment encourages professional collaboration, and as a key player in our Mental Health Team, you will work alongside educators, therapists, and family members to deliver coordinated care. The work schedule is typically Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends as needed for on-call support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, utilizing standardized assessment tools and interviews to gather necessary information.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that address mental health diagnoses and emotional needs, with a focus on successful integration into the educational setting.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, specifically designed for students with ASD, ADHD, and other learning challenges.
\n
• Utilize trauma-informed care approaches to build meaningful therapeutic relationships that foster trust and safety for students.
\n
• Collaborate closely with special education teachers, occupational and speech therapists to create a holistic care plan that engages and supports each student.
\n
• Offer immediate crisis intervention strategies during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
\n
• Engage students and their families in psychoeducation about mental health, discussing the importance of treatment continuity and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation adhering to legal and ethical guidelines, including treatment progress records, assessments, and case notes.
\n
• Participate in regular team meetings and professional development sessions to promote continuous learning and improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students with special needs, particularly those dealing with ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral challenges, and ADHD. You will work to instill confidence, resilience, and coping strategies in students who may face significant barriers to their mental and emotional development.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)

• A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology
\n
• Proficient in evidence-based therapeutic techniques and familiar with trauma-informed care practices
\n
• Ability to perform mental health assessments and develop treatment plans effectively
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to communicate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with relevant work in educational settings or specialized mental health programs will be given priority. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
