Work Environment

This position is based in a school facility in Tampa, where you will actively engage with students, families, and community members. The work environment is dynamic and supportive, fostering professional development and promoting teamwork. You can expect to work a schedule primarily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with additional evening clinics until 8:00 p.m. on occasion, and participation in community outreach events and health fairs, including some weekends. Your average workweek will total around 40 hours, allowing for a well-balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments, including physical exams and wellness screenings for students and their families, emphasizing preventive healthcare practices.
• Formulate personalized care plans to address acute and chronic health conditions, integrating both physical and mental health considerations into your practice.
• Actively collaborate with local schools and community organizations to develop and implement effective health education initiatives and outreach programs.
• Provide culturally sensitive care, taking into account the diverse backgrounds of your patients, and advocate for their rights and access to necessary services.
• Ensure continuity of care by coordinating referrals and follow-up actions, building a network with specialists and community resources.
• Maintain meticulous medical records in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies, ensuring compliance and unwavering quality of care.
• Stay informed on current health trends, evidence-based practices, and local health policies to enhance the quality of community health services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Family Nurse Practitioner at Biotech Advance Medical Center, you will primarily serve students and their families in the Tampa area. This position requires a focus on delivering care to a diverse population, including low-income families and various cultural groups. Your work will empower patients through education and access to primary care, ultimately striving for better health outcomes in the community.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from a nationally recognized certifying body.
• Active and unrestricted Florida state nursing license.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, accompanied by a Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interactions with patients, families, and community stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, ideally in community health or public health settings.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 to $200,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
