Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' physical abilities, ensuring accurate treatment plans that are aligned with their recovery goals.
• Administer physical therapy interventions, focusing on outpatient orthopedics and spine-related conditions to promote mobility and function.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information and adhere strictly to industry regulations and company policies regarding privacy.
• Engage with patients and families through active communication, providing education on treatment plans and addressing any inquiries regarding progress.
• Demonstrate best practices in body mechanics during all therapy sessions, ensuring both patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Document therapy activities and progress in compliance with regulatory and organizational guidelines, leveraging Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software tools for efficiency.
• Make independent, informed decisions when situations arise that require immediate clinical judgment.
• Participate in community health initiatives and projects as appropriate to promote physical health and wellness in the local area.
• Foster collegial relationships with other health and support professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and adherence to best practices in therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adults and elderly patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, especially spine surgeries, along with those managing long-term physical conditions. Our approach emphasizes personalized care plans that cater to the physical and emotional needs of patients, striving for a holistic rehabilitation experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree; advanced degrees such as a Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) are preferred.
• Valid and active physical therapy license in the state of Florida, with all certifications maintained in good standing throughout the duration of employment.
• Current CPR certification—must be obtained during orientation if not already held, and maintained throughout your career with us.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years' experience in a clinical setting, specifically in outpatient orthopedics and spine therapy, will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective therapeutic exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software and compliance standards in home health care.
