Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Homestead, Florida. Our work environment is dynamic and collaborative, where teamwork and support are paramount. Our team of therapists utilizes evidence-based practices to facilitate patient recovery and wellness. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced life outside of work while maintaining a high level of professional engagement.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist with us, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their individual therapeutic needs and goals.
• Establishing and implementing personalized treatment plans that include a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to each patient's condition.
• Administering therapeutic exercises and modalities aimed at improving patients' mobility and overall physical function.
• Providing education and guidance to patients regarding their treatment and rehabilitation process, ensuring they understand their goals and progress.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress accurately to assess the effectiveness of treatment plans and make necessary adjustments.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians and occupational therapists, to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Designing specialized fitness and wellness programs that promote long-term health and prevent future injuries.
• Encouraging and motivating patients throughout their recovery, instilling confidence and fostering a positive attitude towards their healing journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus is primarily on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with a diverse patient population, which may include pediatric to geriatric clients, addressing their unique needs and challenges. We emphasize a holistic approach to care, where understanding the emotional and physical aspects of recovery plays a vital role in patient success.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Florida state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean disciplinary record without any issues on your professional license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a background in evidence-based practice.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing exercise and rehabilitation programs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT or similar software.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings are highly desirable. Experience in developing individualized treatment plans as well as proficiency in functional movement screening will give you an edge in delivering exceptional care.

Compensation and Benefits
