Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities and specific treatment requirements.
• Design, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, and overall physical functionality.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques, as well as utilize modalities essential in addressing and rehabilitating physical impairments.
• Monitor and document each patient's progress throughout their therapy journey, utilizing electronic health record systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education on home exercise programs and strategies for optimal recovery and maintenance of physical health.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with industry advancements and maintain licensure.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing orthopedic issues, including post-surgical recovery, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain management. Your expertise will greatly impact diverse patient demographics varying in age and physical capability, particularly focusing on improving the independence and functional mobility of each individual.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrable knowledge of orthopedic conditions and related physical therapy practices.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients effectively.
• Excellent organizational abilities to manage patient caseloads and meet documentation requirements.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting, ideally focusing on orthopedic physical therapy.
• Experience working with the geriatric population is considered a valuable asset.

Compensation and Benefits
