Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, employing appropriate assessment tools and techniques to establish baseline measures and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that align with established standards of care, focusing on optimizing patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.
• Maintain meticulous documentation for each therapy session within our electronic medical record system, ensuring accurate record-keeping for both clinical and billing purposes.
• Perform screenings for special conditions such as lymphedema and balance issues, proactively identifying patient needs for further intervention.
• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team to address the overarching treatment goals and needs of each patient, facilitating regular updates and discussions on patient progress.
• Manage a full caseload of patients, delivering engaging therapy sessions that incorporate a blend of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Participate in departmental initiatives, including educational programs, presentations, and mentorship of students and interns, contributing to your professional growth and our organizational goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient facility serves a broad spectrum of individuals, including those recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological impairments, and chronic pain conditions. Physical therapists are trained to provide specialized care for patients experiencing cognitive impairment, psychosocial dysfunction, and developmental disabilities, ensuring each patient receives the supportive and adaptive therapies they require.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; Master's or Doctorate degrees are preferred.
• Current Florida Physical Therapist License.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care or outpatient setting, enhancing your capability to provide high-quality patient care.
• Proficiency in advanced therapeutic techniques, including trigger point therapy and patient mobilization strategies.
• Strong foundational knowledge in anatomy and physiology, enabling accurate assessment and effective treatment planning.
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus, demonstrating versatility in handling various patient demographics.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with hospital medicine practices as it relates to outpatient therapy.
• Experience providing care in mixed environments (clinic and hospital).
• Competence in inpatient care in addition to outpatient responsibilities.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
