Key Responsibilities\n

As a Senior Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to identify immediate concerns and therapeutic goals.

• Delivering individual and family therapy sessions, employing tailored, evidence-based interventions based on the specific needs identified during assessments.

• Completing timely billing, documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and federal regulations.

• Developing comprehensive crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention frameworks, and wellness strategies to empower patients in maintaining stable functioning.

• Creating personalized discharge plans that facilitate a smooth transition from counseling services to independent management of mental health needs.

• Adhering to NEHS policies and procedures, as well as all state and federal laws regulating mental health practice.
\n
• Engaging in ongoing professional development by participating in case consultations and agency meetings, as well as pursuing additional training and education.

• Completing all licensure requirements and mandatory training associated with your role.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families seeking mental health support. You will address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges, providing tailored interventions that promote emotional well-being and resilience. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field that meets licensing requirements.

• Active licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in the State (LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW).

Compensation and Benefits\n
