Work Environment

This role is conducted onsite, primarily within patients' homes throughout the Old Bridge area. Our therapists benefit from a flexible work schedule, allowing you to design your own hours between Monday and Friday. By working in-home care settings, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients and their families, creating a supportive atmosphere that encourages recovery and motivation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of each patient's physical abilities and limitations, establishing tailored treatment plans based on individual needs.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, utilizing a variety of methods, including manual therapy, gait training, therapeutic exercises, and equipment usage.
• Continuously track and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment goals and plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Assess the need for and recommend assistive devices to facilitate self-care and mobility, educating patients on their proper use.
• Collaborate with patients, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams, providing training on physical therapy modalities and exercises to enhance recovery.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest physical therapy practices by engaging in professional development opportunities, such as workshops and conferences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will involve a diverse clientele, ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients. Those needing your expertise may include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, or chronic pain syndromes. Each patient's unique circumstances will require you to demonstrate flexibility in your treatment approaches, always aiming for compassionate, effective care.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a valid license to practice in New Jersey.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
• Proficient computer and documentation abilities to maintain accurate and timely patient records.

Preferred Experience
